Sifu Brandon started martial arts at age 7 taking shotokan. after a few months we realized it wasn’t what we were looking for and after searching found yum’s karate academy where he studied hwa rang do under master ki tae yum and obtained his first black belt rank at age 9. Sifu Brandon studied goju ryu under renshi Garcia through Sarasota school of the arts and sciences’ martial arts program through middle school, and at the same time he was learning tae kwon do and hap ki do through master sung cho at sung cho’s tae kwon do where he obtained a black belt green tip in TKD and a blue belt in Hap Ki Do . Sifu Brandon was invited to join Ming Wu Martial Arts by his previous Hwa Rang Do Instructor Sigung Jessie Vi. Sifu Brandon obtained the rank of 3rd dan and full instructor status in the Ming Wu Art. Through all his studies Sifu Brandon’s Dad, Master Rick, was the main guide in teaching him proper form for every movement and technique. Currently he is studying under his father, Grand Master Rick Ramirez and holds the rank of 4rd dan in the Taganas system and WOMA organization. He instructs daily classes and runs all classes when Grand Master Rick is not at the school.

Sifu Brandon has helped teach classes since age 9 and has even been given plaques from his students parents of their appreciation of how well he teaches their children. he is respected by the adult students as well for his extensive knowledge of techniques. he has also competed in tournaments over the years and always has placed well in world ranked martial arts competitions including winning Grand Championship.

As a student sifu Brandon has been in the gifted programs since 3rd grade and a straight a student in all honors classes. Twice he got 100% on the FCAT math and has scored in the highest areas on all other FCAts. he is respected by his teachers for his manors and leadership qualities. While he attended Sarasota military academy, he was on the competition drill team and in his senior year lead one of the drill teams. He graduated 3rd in his senior class.

His life goal is be a martial arts school owner ,and to keep the Taganas martial arts Dream alive.
